Empty the Shelters: Bissell Pet Foundation is covering adoption fees in Arizona this weekend

PHOENIX – The time to adopt a furry friend is now!

Bissell Pet Foundation is hosting its “Empty the Shelters” event in Arizona this weekend. The organization has promised to cover all adoption fees on dogs and cats at the Arizona Humane SocietyArizona Animal Welfare League and Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.

The event is this weekend, July 12-13, at all the participating shelters. Whether it be dogs, cats, puppies, or kittens, all the adoption fees are completely covered. There is no reason not to join in and meet your new best friend.

The event is to help find the animal’s a forever home and make room for new pets to get in off the street during their busiest time of the year. All potential adopters will be screened to ensure each pet goes home with the perfect family.

The Arizona Humane Society has locations in Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, and Glendale. Click here for a full list of locations and hours.

The Arizona Animal Welfare League is Arizona’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter. It has two locations for this event: Their main shelter in Phoenix at 25 North 40th St. or the Chandler Mall shelter. AAWL’s hours of operation for this weekend are Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Maricopa County Animal Care and Control are hosting the event at two locations from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Their shelters are located in Phoenix at 2500 S. 27th Ave. and Mesa at 2630 W. Rio Salado Parkway.
