SANTA ANA, CA — Authorities are investigating the apparent suicide of a 10-year-old Santa Ana girl for possible bullying, according to reports.

On Tuesday, Santa Ana Police Department officials confirmed to ABC7 that they had heard "rumors of bullying" and are investigating.

The girl, who was a student at Hazard Elementary School in Santa Ana, was discovered by her younger sister on Sunday, according to reports.

The school district released a statement saying that they have "no evidence to support" rumors of bullying, reports say.
