Some parents in the Valley got a very special and unexpected visit Tuesday morning.
Arizona Cardinals star Patrick Peterson made a trip to Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center to visit new moms and dads in the NICU.
The All-Pro cornerback handed out Cardinals teddy bears and t-shirts to the new parents and their kids.
"I can only imagine how stressful this is, but the good thing about it is that these parents have a smile on their faces and are trying to be strong for their kids," said Peterson.
For the families, a visit from the superstar was a welcome break as they wait for their babies to be strong enough to leave the hospital.
