The Hospital Safety Score, from nonprofit organization The Leapfrog Group, measures the quality, safety and transparency of health systems.
The grades for Valley hospitals are generated from expert analysis on performance on maintaining patient safety against unnecessary harm, according to their site.
Six Valley facilities were awarded with an A grade, while three locations got D grades.
