Highs in the Valley made it to 85 Saturday. It'll be even warmer Sunday with a high of 88, which puts us around 10 to 14 degrees above normal for this time of year.
Then, we'll be tracking another storm system moving through the western U.S. next week.
Ahead of it, clouds will increase across our state on Sunday.
Then, breezes pick up again throughout next week. Wind gusts will peak near 20 to 25 mph each day in the Valley.
As the core of the storm system moves through Arizona sometime Thursday into Friday, we could see some rain and snow showers. Stay tuned for specifics as we get closer.
No matter what, we will get some cooler air.
Temperatures will drop back down into the upper 60s to low 70s for the middle to end of next week.
We've seen some minor improvements since late January, but 99 percent of Arizona is still in drought.
54 percent of Arizona is in Exceptional Drought (the worst kind), including parts of the Phoenix metro area.
