PHOENIX — A woman has died after being struck by a train in Phoenix Saturday evening.
Officials say the incident occurred near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road just before 6 p.m.
Witnesses say the woman was walking on the train tracks when she was hit by the train.
When firefighters arrived, she was pronounced deceased on scene.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
