Former football star Jake Plummer says THC is helping him cope with headaches and pain after his football career.

The former Arizona State University player and Arizona Cardinals quarterback says he uses the cannabis oil every day and is hoping to spread awareness about its many benefits.

He and other former football stars have come together to show the NFL that it could mean a world of difference of players and former players in need. They're spearheading a campaign called "When the Bright Lights Fade".

"There is THC in it," Plummer said in an interview. "But minimal amounts...you don't get high."

Plummer reportedly uses a cannabis oil from a strain called "Charlotte's Web" which was named after a young girl who used the substance to treat and nearly cure chronic seizures.
