Patriots player rescues woman from burning car

Almost exactly one year ago to the day, New England Patriots linebacker Vince Wilfork rescued a woman from an overturned car just hours after his team won the AFC Championship to advance to the Super Bowl.

Wilfork plays for the Texans now -- but Patriots linebacker Darius Fleming was apparently inspired by his former teammate's heroism, as he rescued a woman from a burning vehicle before his team's playoff win over the Chiefs on Saturday.

Fleming injured his leg during the incident and received 22 stitches, but that didn't stop him from suiting up against the Chiefs, as the Patriots advanced to Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

Fleming was reluctant to talk about the incident, but told ESPN on Wednesday that the injury didn't bother him much during the game.
