PHILADELPHIA, PA — MLB All-Star Bryce Harper has reportedly signed a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies, according to ESPN and other outlets.
Harper will join the team for a reported $330 million over 13 years.
According to the Associated Press, Harper gets a $20 million signing bonus, a $10 million salary this year, $26 million in each of the following nine seasons and $22 million in each of the last three years. None of the money is deferred.
The 26-year-old is a six-time All-Star, the 2015 NL MVP and was the NL Rookie of the Year in 2012.
Harper was also reportedly in discussions with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants, which would have put him in the same division as the Arizona Diamondbacks.
