Everyone who's seen the Christmas movie "Elf" remembers the classic scene: Buddy (Will Ferrell) calls out a department store Santa Claus for not being the real deal.
The Arizona Diamondbacks decided to recreate that scene as a video holiday card this year, starring D-backs president Derrick Hall as Buddy, Hall of Fame pitcher Randy Johnson as faux Santa, and World Series hero Luis Gonzalez as the department store manager.
Of course, this scene had a D-backs theme, and it was even shot in the D-backs' team shop. Hall got in the classic "You sit on a throne of lies" line before the Big Unit chased Hall around the team shop and hurled some fastballs at him.
