How important is it to grab a souvenir home run ball? THIS important.
During Wednesday's game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants at Chase Field, D-backs third baseman Jake Lamb hit a home run just over the wall in right field. The ball was then aggressively pursued by D-backs and Giants fans right behind the wall, as they avoided (or attempted to avoid) tables and chairs in order to obtain the elusive souvenir.
Observe:
Around chairs, under tables, up against a fence. A @JakeLamb18 HR ball is quite a souvenir & must be pursued as such.

It looks like no one was hurt, but unfortunately, a Giants fan ended up with the ball.
No worries, though: The D-backs went on to win the game 4-3 thanks in part to some history made by outfielder J.D. Martinez.
