Michael Phelps is already showing off his coaching skills.
Phelps, 31, who trained for the Rio Olympics at Arizona State University, said the 2016 games were his last. Going forward, he plans to mentor ASU's swim and dive team next fall as a volunteer assistant coach under his longtime coach, Sun Devil head coach Bob Bowman.
We saw a preview of his mentoring abilities Tuesday when he was shown helping fellow swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky how to properly arrange her medals for a Sports Illustrated cover photo shoot.
"I've done it before. You'll learn, don't worry about it," Phelps tells Ledecky.

Based on how the photo featuring the swimming duo and Olympic gold medal gymnast Simone Biles turned out, it looks like the 19-year-old Ledecky got the hang of it.
