UPDATE: Tyrann Mathieu will NOT play vs. the Vikings, according to the team's list of inactives released Sunday morning. The Honey Badger suffered a separated shoulder in the Cards' loss at the Carolina Panthers three weeks ago.

Cards coach Bruce Arians originally guessed Mathieu might miss up to six weeks of action.

Dollar linebacker Deone Bucannon (ankle) will play vs. the Vikings, while cornerback Tharold Simon (ankle) will not play. Both men were listed as questionable on Friday. Cards defensive tackle Corey Peters is also out.

Also on Friday, the Cardinals placed linebacker Gabe Martin on the disabled list with a knee injury. In his place, linebacker Zaviar Gooden was promoted from the practice squad.

Some good news on the injury front: Receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who has been dealing with nagging ankle and knee injuries, practiced in full Friday and is active for Sunday's homecoming. Fitzgerald is a Minnesota native.

The 4-4-1 Cardinals will take on the 5-4 Vikings at 11 a.m. Arizona time.
