It looks like the Honey Badger will be sticking around for a while.
The Arizona Cardinals have signed All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu to a mega contract extension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Cardinals and S Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu reached agreement on 5-year, $62.5 million agreement that includes $40M gtd, per sources.

Mathieu was entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract with the team that would be worth just over $1.7 million this season.
He is coming off a season-ending ACL injury he suffered late last season and is yet to practice during training camp, but the Cards are apparently unconcerned about Mathieu's recovery from that injury. He and coach Bruce Arians both expect him back on the field within three weeks.
Watch the Cardinals first preseason game on August 12 on ABC15.
The #AZCardinals have been clear on this: They wanted to reward Tyrann Mathieu & pay him what he's worth. He's a face of their franchise.
