Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach Jay Triano is set to join the Phoenix Suns as associate head coach, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Canadian-born Triano served as head coach of the Toronto Raptors from 2008-11, where he posted an 87-142 record. He is also the head coach of the Canadian men's basketball national team.
The 57-year-old Triano has been an assistant in Portland since 2012.
