In case you didn't know: Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Josh Collmenter is one of the great, fun guys in town.

Two weeks ago, he was skating with the Arizona Coyotes. Last week, he was teaching physics to his fellow pitchers. And early Tuesday morning, he was cooking pancakes at a Tempe IHOP for Phoenix Children's Hospital in honor of National Pancake Day.

"Breakfast is in my wheelhouse. That's my forte," Collmenter said. "Pancakes are one of my specialties.

"This was a little thicker variety than what I'm used to. After one test run, I got the hang of it. I'd say I'm pretty much a pancake pro."

Initially, it didn't look like Collmenter was having a lot of success with the spatula -- but clearly, he turned out some pretty good-looking pancakes in the end.

Collmenter, along with Miss Arizona and other local royalty, did their best to raise money for PCH on Tuesday -- and that deserves a congratulations and hearty thank-you!

Thanks, Josh, for being a good guy in our community.
