Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict has been suspended for the first three games of the 2016 NFL season, the NFL announced Monday.
Burfict, who starred at ASU from 2009-11, was suspended following his hit on Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in the final minute of Saturday's playoff game in Cincinnati. The hit resulted in a 15-yard penalty and helped set up a game-winning Pittsburgh field goal.
