UA finished the regular season with a 12-18 record, including a 3-15 mark in Pac-12 play. Butts, who was hired by the Wildcats in 2008, has a 101-146 career record in Tucson, and a 34-110 mark in conference play.
Butts won two NCAA championships as a forward at Tennessee.
