It didn't take long for the Arizona Cardinals to fill their hole on the offensive line.
One day after trading O-lineman Jonathan Cooper to the New England Patriots in exchange for elite pass rusher Chandler Jones, the Cards announced the signing of free-agent guard Evan Mathis to a one-year contract.

Mathis, a Pro Bowler in 2013 and '14, played in 16 games (12 starts) for the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos last season.
The 34-year-old Mathis was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft and has started 90 NFL games. The 6-foot-5, 301-pounder was a First-team All-Pro selection in 2013.
