If only we could all shave a couple years off our age.
For quite a while, Cardinals safety D.J. Swearinger apparently had his age listed incorrectly on various sports Web sites. More specifically, most sites added two years to his actual age.
On Thursday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport said this error has been corrected, and Swearinger's age has been reduced from 27 to 25.
FA S DJ Swearinger, who some thought was 27, got good news: Elias fixed a glitch & his real birthday is now on various sites. He’s just 25

This is probably good news for Swearinger, who is set to become a free agent, as prospective teams may be more likely to sign the talented young safety to a longer contract.
Swearinger was selected by the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft but has spent most of his last two NFL seasons in Arizona. He recorded 66 tackles, three interceptions and two sacks in 16 games for the Cardinals in 2016.
