Arizona Cardinals linebacker Alex Okafor may undergo surgery after suffering a torn biceps tendon, Cards coach Bruce Arians announced after the team's preseason loss to the San Diego Chargers on Friday.

Okafor has the option to have surgery and likely miss the entire 2016 season, or attempt to play through the injury. The 6-foot-5, 264-pounder said the decision is not an easy one.

Okafor was selected by the Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He had a breakout season in 2014 when he recorded a team-high eight sacks along with 34 tackles in 13 games.

He is currently listed behind Chandler Jones at linebacker on the Cardinals' depth chart.
