It looks like the injury bug has once again bitten Arizona Cardinals starting defensive end Frostee Rucker.

The 10th-year pro, who missed most of training camp with a foot injury, suffered an MCL sprain during the Cardinals' loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday night and could miss 2-3 weeks of action, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said Monday.

Rucker, who recorded 28 tackles and three sacks for the Cards last season, missed three games in 2015 with a ankle injury. The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder has played for the Cardinals since 2013.

Arians didn't provide an update on wide receiver J.J. Nelson (shoulder) and guard Evan Mathis (foot), both of whom also left Sunday's game early. Arians said Mathis is scheduled to undergo an MRI.
