Yep, this is what Patrick Peterson does on his off day.

There was no practice for the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, so Cards All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson had time to hang with the kiddos at Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School in Chandler to reveal Patrick's Corner No. 7, a new reading room where students and their families can read, learn and explore together.

Patrick's Corner is part of the Patrick Peterson Foundation for Success, which benefits inner-city and low-income youth throughout Arizona.

Along with Patrick's Corner, Peterson also sponsored a Pick Up a Book event, where each student was given a reading certificate that allowed them to pick from one of 4,000 available books.

Peterson, whose wife Antonique and daughter Paityn were on hand for Tuesday's event, said this is just the beginning of his effort to encourage Arizona kids to read.

"We have a lot of things planned," he said. "We want to open up a learning center someday. We have Patrick's Pick Up a Book program that started at San Marcos (Elementary School in Chandler), which was one of the last schools in Arizona as far as reading minutes, and now they're top-three.

"We have a lot of things in store that are going to continue helping the Arizona community."
