Phoenix Suns unveil new Orange Statement Edition jerseys

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns have unveiled a new uniform design for the 2019-2020 NBA season.

The team says the new “Orange Statement Edition” jerseys are meant to pay homage to the Seven Seconds or Less era of the Suns.

Th Suns say this is the first team jersey to not have part of the team’s name on the front.

The new jerseys will be available for purchase on Oct. 20.

The jerseys will be worn at all eight of the team’s Friday home games during the season. The Suns are also going to celebrate “Orange Fridays” with “a number of fan-friendly in-arena activations accentuated by the team wearing the Orange Statement Edition uniforms," according to a statement.

Every Orange Friday will feature a special performing act as part of the Suns Music Series, an exclusive player intro video, limited-time concessions specials, Suns Team Shop discounts, orange signage and lighting throughout Talking Stick Resort Arena and more, according to a team statement.

Here are the dates the Suns will be wearing the new jerseys:

· Nov. 29 vs. Dallas
· Jan. 3 vs. New York
· Jan. 10 vs. Orlando
· Jan. 31 vs. Oklahoma City
· Feb. 7 vs. Houston
· Feb. 28 vs. Detroit
· March 6 vs. Portland
· April 3 vs. Cleveland
