Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has been selected to the Pro Bowl for the eighth time in as many NFL seasons.

Peterson joins Hall of Fame running backs Jim Brown and Barry Sanders as the only players in NFL history to be eight-time Pro Bowl selections before their 29th birthday. His eight consecutive selections set a new Cardinals franchise record, besting wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald's seven straight selections from 2007-13. Peterson is also the only player in franchise history to be selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first eight NFL seasons.

Peterson tied Hall of Fame safety Larry Wilson for the most Pro Bowl selections in team history among defensive players. Only Fitzgerald (11) has more all-time Pro Bowl selections in team history.

Fitzgerald, defensive end Chandler Jones and safety Budda Baker were selected as alternates for the 2019 Pro Bowl, which will take place in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 27.
