The Arizona Diamondbacks will face Grand Canyon University's baseball team as part of their 2020 Spring Training schedule, the team announced Monday.

The D-backs will face GCU as part of their Collegiate Baseball Series the evening of March 17 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale. Former D-backs infielder Andy Stankiewicz is the manager of the Lopes baseball team that has won the Western Athletic Conference regular-season title in three of the last five seasons.

The D-backs last played GCU for their Collegiate Baseball Series during Cactus League play in 2017. They played ASU's baseball team in 2018 and UA baseball this season.

The D-backs will open Cactus League play vs. the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields on Feb. 22. Their final home Spring Training game will be vs. the Rockies on March 22.

Spring Training season-ticket plans for the Diamondbacks -- as well as for the Rockies, who also play their home Cactus League games at Salt River Fields -- go on sale Dec. 17. Individual tickets for both teams go on sale Jan. 11.
