PHOENIX – Just like that, Phoenix Rising continues their record smashing win streak (19).

Just one goal was all Phoenix Rising needed to defeat Las Vegas Lights FC 1-0. Adam Jahn saw an opportunity and he shot.

With this tremendous win streak, it was only fitting that head coach Rick Schantz was awarded USL Coach of the Month. (More like USL Coach of the past four months).

“After such a challenging month of six games I can only say thank you to the staff and players,”

“This award continues to be representative of more than just one person. I am blessed to work with such tremendous people who expect the best from me every day and in return, they give their best to the club.”

With one award comes another, team captain Solomon Asante was named the USL Player of the Month.

“It’s an honor being recognized for my input, but this great achievement wouldn’t have been possible without my coach and the entire playing body,”

“Therefore, I dedicate this award to them and also thank them for making me a better player.”

The Rising continue on with a record of 21-2-5, the best in the USL, with NY Red Bulls Reserves trailing far behind with 16 wins

You can catch them back at home this Saturday, Sep. 14 at 7:30 p.m., against LA Galaxy II on Your Phoenix CW channels 6 and 61.1.
