PHOENIX — Would you wait outside for 24 hours to get free Chick-fil-A? One hundred people in south Phoenix did just that.
A brand new restaurant is opening on Thursday near 24th Street and Baseline Road.
To celebrate, Chick-fil-A hosted a special giveaway event on Wednesday.
ABC15 was at the restaurant Wednesday morning where lines of people gathered for a chance at the prize -- Chick-fil-A meals for a year!
They announced that the first 100 people in line Wednesday morning would need to stay on the premises for 24 hours, until Thursday morning, for a chance to win 52 meals.
The participants would need to stay in the parking lot for the entire 24 hours. They weren't guaranteed WiFi or power outlets, but would get food throughout the day.
We're told all 100 people walked away with the prize on Thursday morning.
