Calling all superheroes to showcase their powers on the track.
“This whole entire event is about bringing out the superhero in every one of you”, said Casey Brown, Event Director, DC Wonder Woman Run.
The 2019 DC Wonder Woman Run was not about who made the best times, but seeing people from all walks of life in cosplay and burning some serious calories.
DC Wonder Woman runner Dalena Boeckmann says “It’s just fantastic they always do a great job, I love Tempe. I love the bridge”.
The event will also benefit Women in Sports and Events Arizona, the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports. The atmosphere was anything but business in Tempe, tons of energy and smiles.
Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion gymnast Gabby Douglas showed her support by educating others by her experience.
“Throughout the end of my gymnastics career, learning my weakness and turning them into strengths. For instance, bars, I would always use to say I suck at bars. My mom told me how powerful words are and she said, you know could potentially be your strength. I turned out to be the best worker in the USA.” says 2012 Olympic All-Around Gold Medalist, Gabby Douglas.
