Incumbent David Schweikert has won his re-election bid in Arizona's 6th Congressional District, the Associated Press projected Tuesday night.
With about 165,000 votes counted as of 8:45 p.m. Arizona time, Schweikert had 56.4 percent of the vote. His Democratic challenger, Anita Malik, had 43.6 percent.
The 56-year-old Schweikert has represented Arizona's 6th district since 2013. He previously represented Arizona's 5th district.
