FBI: "Blues Bandit" responsible for three bank robberies at Valley Walmarts

The FBI announced Monday they’re looking for a man being called the “Blues Bandit,” believed to be responsible for at least three bank robberies in the last two months.

According to the FBI, the suspect robbed three Desert Schools Federal Credit Union locations inside Walmart stores in Phoenix and Glendale.

The suspect was seen wearing a black suit and pants, fedora hat, gloves and glasses during the robberies and is believed to be between 5’7” and 6’0” tall.

  • On October 3, the suspect allegedly robbed the Walmart near the I-17 and Happy Valley Road in Phoenix.
  • On December 7, the suspect allegedly robbed the Walmart near Bell Road and 59th Avenue in Glendale.
  • On December 14, the suspect allegedly robbed the Walmart near Bell Road and 19th Avenue in Phoenix.

In all three incidents the suspect had a note and what appeared to be a gun while demanding money. He got away with cash, and left in a vehicle in the parking lot.

The FBI is offering a reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Nobody has been injured in any of the robberies.
