An Arizona Department of Public Safety sergeant was among multiple people injured during a wrong-way crash in western Arizona Sunday night.
DPS says the crash occurred on eastbound Interstate 10, near milepost 63, west of the Maricopa County/La Paz County line.
A wrong-way driver was reportedly traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it hit a semi-truck. A DPS sergeant who was responding to the crash was also struck.
The wrong-way driver, sergeant and semi-truck driver reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but officials believe impairment was a factor.
