LAVEEN, AZ — New dash camera video released by DPS shows footage from inside a semi truck that was struck by a vehicle last month in a deadly wrong-way crash on the new stretch of Loop 202.

A vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the newly-constructed L-202 near Elliot Road around 2:45 a.m. on Jan.4 when it collided with the semi trailer.
The video shows the driver of the semi truck shouting as he attempts to swerve out of the direction of the vehicle. The car then swerves in the same direction, causing the crash.
The wrong-way driver, Josafath Rubio-Hernandez, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS said impairment on Hernandez's part has not yet been ruled out.
