PHOENIX — Starting January 2020, license plates, registration tabs, vehicle titles and other various documents will be accessible solely through U.S. Mail.
All license plate and registration documents, even those issued Wednesday at MVD self-service kiosks, will be mailed out.
Those receiving a new license plate, will have their new plate number entered into their file and a temporary plate will be issued with the same number as the permanent plate that's being mailed.
Customers who renew their registration, or purchase Off-Highway Vehicle decals, will receive a receipt that would prove the purchase, until the documents are received in the mail.
Arizona MVD plans on more vehicle titles transitioning to an electronic process.
Only a limited number of title transfers can be done solely through ServiceArizona.com.
