An Arizona grand jury has indicted a man in the 2012 killing of a woman in Quartzsite near the California border.
State prosecutors say Quartzsite police arrested 27-year-old Thomas Daniel of Quartzsite on Monday.
He's accused of first-degree premeditated murder and arson in the death of 65-year-old Linda Garrett.
Quartzsite Police and Fire Department crews responded to a trailer fire on the night of Aug. 23, 2012.
Firefighters located Garrett's body and authorities say an autopsy determined she died from several stab wounds.
At their request, the Arizona Attorney General's Office began assisting Quartzsite police with their investigation in 2015.
The AG's Office says DNA evidence led to Daniel's arrest.
Daniel's bond has been set at $500,000. It was unclear Thursday if Daniel has a lawyer yet.
