Whether you're looking to escape town, or take a vacation here in the valley, there are rock bottom deals you'll want to take advantage of right now.

Roll the dice at Vegas hotels on the strip.

The word is room bookings are way down right now, so they are enticing you with deals! But don't assume the price is always what they say.

Mandalay Bay touting a free night and rates starting at $25. Except when I tried to book the deal, the cheapest price I found as a rewards member is $60.

Still you can win big on Vegas flights;

Allegiant Airlines and Southwest Airlines are offering flights as low as $47 over the next few months.

There are also deals to be found closer to home! Some hotels and resorts here in the valley are slicing their prices in half.

Michelle Donati with AAA of Arizona says, “A stay at Mountain Shadows is about $144 a night over Labor Day weekend. The Phoenician, which is a completely renovated brand new gorgeous property, rates there for around $170--$175. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess still has availability for about $160 a night.”

She adds, you’ll save more if you book an advanced purchase rate, which usually requires you to pre-pay.

Keep in mind that those rates usually lack flexibility, meaning there are no cancellations. She adds cruises are a good option for saving cash and flexibility.

In fact, Donati found four-day cruises to Mexico starting at about $69 per night for Labor Day weekend.
