Several Phoenix orthodontists are hosting an Open House event on Saturday to screen children for braces.

The event is on Saturday, April 21 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Premier Orthodontics offices in Arrowhead and Chandler.

The event is a partnership with Smiles Change Lives, a national nonprofit that helps kids get braces.

To qualify for placement at the screening, children must be 7-18 years old, have good oral hygiene, not have braces on already, have a moderate to severe need for braces and meet certain financial guidelines.
