The Bissell Pet Foundation is having a free pet adoption event Saturday, November 19th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ohana Animal Rescue in Tempe.
They will pay all adoption fees, which average $135 for dogs and $70 for cats. There are restrictions, so be sure to go online to make sure you qualify.

Also this weekend, a free gardening workshop in downtown Phoenix.
Keep Phoenix Beautiful is teaching techniques to keep your plants healthy on Saturday, November 19th, at 9:30 a.m. The focus is all about soil.
The free workshop is at the Phoenix Renews site on Central Avenue.

Thanksgiving isn't here yet and already it's time for Santa photos. Kid to Kid in Scottsdale is offering free pictures with Santa next weekend.
On November 26th Santa will be at the store from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and he'll be back on November 27th from noon to 1:30 p.m.
You will need to bring your own camera.

At Cabelas you'll have another chance.
Their free photos are December 3rd and 4th and again the following weekend, December 10th and 11th.
