On Monday, Jan. 18, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but you don't have to go broke celebrating. There are lots of free events all over the Valley.

Head over to the Chandler Fashion Center for two stages of music, dance, sports and arts and crafts. The festivities are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The first stage is inside by the Gap and the other is outside by the valet area next to the Old Spaghetti Company.

In Mesa, the MLK parade starts at 11 a.m. at Martin Luther King, Jr. and Center Street. Immediately after that is a festival at the Mesa Arts Center with music, dance, poetry and more.

There's also a parade and festival in Phoenix. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and leaves from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and ends at Margaret T. Hance park for the festival.

If you'd prefer to get away, head to one of the hundreds of national parks for free. All of the national parks in the U.S. are offering free admission to commemorate the day.
