The 9th Annual Arizona Taco Festival will be at Salt River Fields Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day with more than 50 vendors!

Jason Horton is the owner of The Rooster Tavern. He told us more about the event, "There will be a Tequila Tent on Saturday and a Margarita Tent on Sunday. It's $2 tacos all weekend long with fun things like a Chihuahua beauty contest, Lucha Libre Wrestling, just a great time for everyone."

Horton continued, "As of every year, the AZ Taco Festival is kid-friendly. There will be a kid zone. Kids 12 and under are free."

Let's TACO 'bout the grub.

Horton told us, "There will be veggie tacos, vegan tacos, pork tacos, every type of taco you can imagine... Rooster Tavern will be there representing with a veggie taco, green chile taco, and green chile mac-n-cheese just to give everybody some fun." Horton continued, "If you're vegetarian, you will love our taco. It consists of potatoes, roasted black beans, corn, red peppers and a secret vegetarian sauce. We can leave the sauce off and make it vegan."

THE DEAL:

Get ready for our DEALicious Smart Shopper Deal of the Day for Sunday's admission. It would normally be $12, but it will be half price ($6) for you! Get your tickets online, and enter the promo code: ABC15

You have from the start of the day until 8 p.m. Friday to get the deal. There is no limit to how many tickets you can buy.

PLUS, the first 100 ABC 15 viewers to click on the "Margarita Masters Sunday" tab online, and enter the same promo code (ABC15), will get half-off admission. It's normally $20, so you'll pay $10.

On Sunday, from 12-5 p.m., you'll get to try 10 samples from 12 of The Valley's best mixologists.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You have to buy a general admission ticket, as well as a Margarita Masters ticket if you want to do both. To put it in perspective, paying $16 is better than paying $32.

Horton actually used to go to Arizona Taco Festival as a patron for years before he got involved. He's been working the event for three years now serving scrumptious tacos and treats. He told us, "It's going to be a beautiful weekend, and we love everybody coming out every year. It's going to be a fun time!"
