The Arizona State Fair will be in town October 10through November 2.

There really is no reason to pay full price for admission because there are deals every day of the week.

On Opening Day, general admission is just two bucks until 5 p.m.

This is a great deal since regular admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

This next discount is a great way to motivate the kids to read.

If they read three books that are approved by their teacher and parent, they will get three carnival rides for free.

On Wednesdays, admission is free until 6 p.m. with a charitable donation.

St. Mary's Food Bank - Oct. 15 - 3 cans of non-perishable food.

St. Vincent de Paul - Oct. 22 - gently-used jeans, tennis shoes, and backpacks.

And all day on Wednesday, the rides and games are just two bucks.

Admission is also free on everyThursday from noon to 1 p.m.

On Fridays you can get a sample of the fair's signature food items, rides and games for $2 each from noon to 6 p.m.

It's valid every Friday except for opening day.

There are even deals on the weekends!

Get $2 admission before 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

And on Sunday you can get an unlimited ride wristband for $35.

That same wristband is $5 cheaper on Thursdays.

You can also save on parking.

Pay $5 at the lot on the southwest corner of 19th Avenue and Encanto.

And if you don't mind parking a little further, you can park for free.

Park at the state capitol and ride the free shuttle over to the fair.

Plus you can buy a Passport to Savings Coupon Book for $5 and it has tons of discounts on food and activity booths.

Also Costco is selling a Family Pack for $21.99.

It gets you four general admission tickets and one Passport to Savings Coupon Book.

You can also get a discount if you buy your groceries at Fry’s.

Beginning October 1, when you spend $40 or more at any Fry's location, your receipt will feature a discount for 2 FREE adult admissions for any Friday at the Fair. All you have to do is bring your receipt to any admission gate to redeem the tickets.

So now you can go to the fair, have fun and keep your wallet full.
