The Surprise Police Department says a man was shot in the abdomen Friday morning during a domestic violence struggle over a gun.
This happened near the Loop 303 and Clearview Boulevard around 9:30 a.m.
Police say a man and a woman were struggling to gain control of a gun during an argument when the gun was accidentally fired into the man’s abdomen.
The man has been taken to the hospital. No details have been released on his condition.
Police say nobody has been arrested yet in the incident, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Police have not released whether or not anyone else was in the home at the time of the shooting.
