Shoppers at a Fry's store got an unexpected surprise Friday night when mace dangling from a woman's purse accidentally went off.
The incident happened inside the entrance of the store near Bell and Reems roads in Surprise.
HAZMAT crews were called out and treated five to seven people who felt the effects of the spray.
Crews tell ABC15, the shoppers' injuries weren't serious and everyone is expected to be okay.
Officials say the woman whose mace went off won't be facing any charges.
