The Surprise Police Department is looking for a man who robbed a Desert Schools Federal Credit Union on Wednesday, June 29.

The robbery happened at the location near Bell Road and the Loop 303 just after 10 a.m.

Witnesses say the man was just over six foot, white and had a thin build with a white beard and natural red highlights. He was wearing blue jeans, white shoes, thick glasses and a grey plaid style golf hat at the time of the robbery.

The suspect allegedly walked into the bank and demanded cash while showing a gun to workers. Police say the suspect fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are hoping that someone who lives in the neighborhood may have gotten video of the man leaving the location on any home security cameras they might have, because there were several homes in the area.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000.
