SURPRISE, AZ — Surprise police have arrested a woman for allegedly shooting her father Monday afternoon.
Police say a woman, later identified as Samantha White, called 911 at around 2:30 p.m. and reported that she shot her father at a residence near Reems and Waddell roads.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the woman's father alert and speaking. He was later transported to a local hospital.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting, but say that after further investigation, White was taken into custody.
White has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of domestic violence aggravated assault.
