A teenage boy is suspected of trying to rob a West Valley bank, and authorities are asking for the public's help to identify him.

According to Surprise police, around 4 p.m. Wednesday the suspect attempted to rob the Sun West Credit Union near Bell Road and Parkview Place.

Police said that after entering the bank, the teen approached the teller and presented a note demanding money. When the teller refused, the suspect grabbed the note back and left the bank.

Once in the parking lot, the teen reportedly got into a gold-colored Honda passenger car driven by another person.

The suspect is described as a white teen, with light-colored hair, and pale skin. He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt and tan shorts.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-TIPS (8477).
