Authorities say a 911 call by a man asking for help led to the discovery of a marijuana grow operation in the northwest Valley.

Maricopa County deputies responded to a home near 91st Avenue and Deer Valley Road Sunday morning.

Deputies arrived at the residence and did a welfare check, where officials say they discovered what appeared to be a marijuana grow operation and a man asleep in the garage.

Officials detained three people and worked on getting a search warrant.

The home was searched and 105 grams of heroin, 350 grams of meth and 22 marijuana plants were found inside, according to a release from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said 36-year-old Duane Bearden admitted to having the plants. He was arrested and booked on charges of marijuana cultivation, marijuana possession and selling dangerous drugs.
