MCSO releases update sketch of man found dead at bottom of Salt River bed in Laveen

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man found dead in the Salt River bottom near 67th Avenue on November 17.

MCSO first released a sketch on November 22, 2016 of the victim in this case, but it has been replaced with the sketch above. MCSO believes this newest sketch is a more accurate representation of the victim. 

MCSO says the man has short, black, buzz-cut hair and a short beard. He is approximately 6 feet tall, and around 220 pounds.

He was also wearing an “AX” Armani Exchange hat, and a grey shirt with black short sleeves with the word “American” across the front. He was wearing black, blue and red plaid shorts with black Nike shoes.

Authorities said the death is considered suspicious and the investigation is ongoing.
