Man killed in crash in Laveen

Officials are investigating a deadly crash in Laveen overnight. 

According to information from the scene near 67th Avenue near Vineyard, a man was driving eastbound when he ran a stop sign, colliding with a 19-year-old woman in another car. 

The woman was taken to the hospital, however, the man was ejected from his car and pronounced dead at the scene. Maricopa County Sheriff's Office only described him as a man in his thirties.

Officials say speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash.

Sixty-seventh Avenue is closed between Southern Avenue and Baseline Road.
