Fire officials say a Goodyear family is without a home on Easter Sunday after a large fire erupted overnight.
Around 3 a.m. Sunday, the family reportedly heard noises in the garage and when they went to investigate, found a fire had started inside.
All members of the family inside the home were able to safely escape before they called 911, but a pet dog has yet to be accounted for.
When fire crews arrived on scene, they found the two-story home fully involved in flames and immediately went on the defensive.
Fire crews say the home is a total loss.
Fortunately, firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the home without spreading to nearby properties.
At this point, fire crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
